Balvir Tomar - Chairman NIMS University

Prof (Dr.) Balvir S. Tomar has been widely admired for dynamic leadership qualities. He is doing philanthropic work by establishing research center of national repute in many areas, dedicated to nation for the service of society. He invented treatment therapy by the D-penicillamine for the deadly disease called “Indian Childhood Cirrhosis”. This had been a major research project published in “Advances in paediatrics”.

NIMS University attracts students and scholars from all over the country and also from various parts of the world. We have students from countries including Sudan, Libya, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Yemen, Somalia, Congo and Eritrea who were recommended for admission by their respective Embassies/Consulates in India. These students, mostly residing on campus, are enrolled in course including Medicine, Pharmacy and Engineering. Some of them are pursuing Ph.D programme.
